Description

There are two ponds in the north western corner of the wood and several open ditches running through it.

The Rookery, to the west of Gaywood, is a plantation of mature oaks over grass. Gaywood and The Rookery have open boundaries that are largely surrounded by tarmac paths. The boundary of the woodland is 2 metres from the edge of these paths, and garden fences form the boundary along the northern edge of The Rookery.
