Description
Description

Hales Hall & The Great Barn is approached across a windswept common grazed by cattle and carpeted in buttercups. It is situated in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, on the edge of the world-famous Norfolk Broads National Park, just 12 miles from Norwich and two and a half hours from London. Built in 1478 by Sir James Hobart, Attorney General to King Henry VII, this medieval masterpiece is steeped in history and romance and is a world apart.
The Great Barn whispers echoes of centuries gone by with its vast vaulted roof and 180 arrow-slit windows that glitter into life when individually lit by candles. With the flick of a switch the venue bursts into the contemporary era with its state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.
Step through one of the grand doors into the Hall itself and you feel instantly at home in your own private mansion. Every room (we can accommodate 25 plus guests across our estate) is furnished with the finest antiques. Fires crackle, beds are piled high with velvet cushions and the warmest welcome awaits.
The gardens are our pride and joy, with acres of topiary hedges and floral avenues surrounded by towering woodland and moats on one side and panoramic East Anglian views across farmland on the other. Our food philosophy also takes centre stage with kitchen gardens spilling over with fresh fruit and vegetables and chefs available to create incredible menus for you fro
