The Half Moon Inn is the quintessential historical English Pub, a stunning thatched tavern overlooking Belchamp St Paul village green. Hanging baskets, thatched roof, low beams and real log fire – it simply doesn’t get more English country than this.
A quintessential historical English Pub, a stunning thatched tavern overlooking Belchamp St Paul village green. Hanging baskets, thatched roof, leaded light windows, low beams and real log fire – it simply doesn’t get more English country than this.
Built in the early 16th century, most of the original features of the pub have been lovingly maintained and the pub oozes history. The Half Moon has been at the centre of Belchamp St Paul village activity for more than four hundred years. It continues to be a favourite meeting place for locals, although many of our regulars come from much further afield to enjoy the atmosphere at the pub. New faces are always given a special welcome.
For the beer lover, the Half Moon is heaven and has been awarded a Cask Marque and features in the Good Beer Guide 2010. Constantly offering ever-changing guest ales to a loyal following, along with its Annual Beer Festival with over 30 guest ales, the Half Moon is renowned for great beer, county wide. All without premium prices.
