Halvergate is 2 miles south of the A47 between Acle and Great Yarmouth. There is no special provision for car parking so please leave your car in a position where it will not cause an obstruction of annoyance to other road users.
The whole of the 5 mile walk has panoramic views of the countryside. The route is mainly around the Halvergate marshes that have a bounty of wildlife. You may encounter livestock along the route. Halvergate itself is an attractive village with a mixture of thatched and tiled houses.
The walk starts from The Street in Halvergate near the village sign. Walk east along The Street and at the T-junction turn right heading for Wickhampton.
