Peter Knight, the proprietor explores his love of the original porcelain and recommenced the business in 2000, employing local, gifted people to produce the much admired heritage range. We also understand the modern family have different colour schemes and ideas. With this in mind, our artists have developed their own suggestions and skills from delightful poppy and lavender designs, to much loved pets on porcelain. The original sparrow beak creamer jug shape has been developed into a popular British bird selection, hand painted by Colin Challis, a local artist. The Birth Tablet has been adapted for Marriage, Baptism, Renewal of wedding vows, as well as new baby celebration. Original Birth Tablets at auction, of which approximately only 50 were made, reach £14,000 at auction. These were made to celebrate new births of the workers and their relatives during the 1700s.
