Martham Boats

Martham Boats is a traditional family run boat yard, set in the idyllic Norfolk Broads countryside we offer a wide range of hand crafted timber Norfolk Broads Cruisers and Sailing Yachts. Most of our traditional wooden boats were designed and built at Martham back in the 1940/50’s and they were constructed in a way that harmonises with the romantic views of the Norfolk Broads and the Wildlife.

Martham Boats have a wide range of half decked sailing boats and motor launches, which are available for hire for those of you who wish to spend a quiet day exploring our beautiful and safe rivers and pretty rural villages here on the Broads. We have an electric and a diesel day boat.

– Day Boat Hire

All of our day boat hires are available to hire for the day, night or even for a week and moorings are available here at Martham if you wish to stay overnight.

– Half Decker Hire

Sailing on the rivers of the Norfolk Broads is a wonderfully fun and safe experience for both intermediate and novice sailors alike.

There is ample opportunity to explore the marvels of Horsey Mere and Hickling Broad where you will also get to see all the wonderful nature that the Norfolk Broads has to offer. Whether you are a family, group of friends, or a corporate event, we can cater to your every need.

Seating up to 6 people, all of our half deckers come complete with a full awning. For those of you wishing to hire for more than one day and would like to camp, mattresses are available upon requested with a limit of to two per boat, please pre-order these when you make your booking. Once you arrive and are checked in, buoyancy aids will be issued and you will then be given a full briefing on the craft. – Canoe Hire

Canoeing/Kayaking on the rivers of the Norfolk Broads is a wonderfully fun and safe experience for both intermediate and novice canoeists alike.

There is ample opportunity to explore the marvels of the River Thurne which leads you to both Horsey and Hickling Broad where you will see all the wonderful wildlife that the Norfolk Broads has to offer. Whether you are a family, group of friends, an individual or a corporate event, we can cater to your every need.

All our canoes are designed to carry either 2/3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 small children, with our kayaks being for a single person. On arrival you will be issued with buoyancy aids and given a briefing on both safety and paddling techniques. Contact the office where our friendly bookings team will be happy to help you.
