Mississippi River Boat

Three public trips are arranged daily with excellent commentary from the captain. Full bar facilities are available plus hot drinks and snacks with ample parking space and toilets.

– Public River Trips

Our fantastic luxury river trips are either one and a half hours or two hours in length (see the sailing times and prices below). The upper deck has seating for 68 passengers and provides excellent views across the reed beds – the lower deck has a plush lounge seating 46 and also has a fully stocked bar at reasonable prices. Snacks, souvenirs and freshly made tea and coffee are available throughout each tour. There are toilets on the vessel. Wheelchairs are welcome and can be wheeled aboard. Group discounts are offered, and well behaved dogs are welcome on board. Telephone booking is strongly recommended however small the number of people.

Some trips will be fully booked, for those we may not be able to take passengers without reservations (although we always try to get you on).
We do occasionally have to change sailing times to accomodate special events.
For the reasons above, we always advise you to phone us before the trip (whether it’s a year or half an hour in advance). Simply leave your name and number of passengers and we will guarantee space aboard for you provided you are present 15 minutes before sailing time.
Boarding and seating is on a first come first served basis so for the best seat make sure you are at the front of the queue.
We accept card, cash and cheque payment.
– Private Functions

Whatever the celebration, whether it’s a Wedding Reception, Office Function, Birthday Party or Social Club outing, Southern Comfort is an excellent venue.

Hire charges are reasonable (see prices below) and while we offer a choice of menu and music, the hirer may provide their own if they wish at no extra charge. There is a wide range of beers, wines and spirits at pub prices and tea and coffee are always available. We do ask that the hirer uses our bar. Hire charges vary throughout the season and early booking is advised.

We offer a choice of music or alternatively, the hirer is welcome to provide their own at no extra charge.

Prices are to hire the boat for your exclusive use
A deposit of 50% of boat hire is required and is non-refundable if cancelled within the year of sailing unless we can rebook.
