Norfolk Gliding Club was established 60 years ago, and operates from our home at Tibenham Airfield, in South Norfolk.
Experience the sport of silent flight and see Norfolk from the air. Trial lessons available with a qualified instructor in a dual-controlled glider. There is a comfortable clubhouse with light refreshments.

We fly Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays throughout the year with Gliding Courses running weekly between April and October each year. We also offer training in our Grob 109 MotorGlider for NPPL and TMG extension training for LAPL/SPL licences.
The Club offers unique facilities for all sorts and conditions of aviator, from ‘Fundit’ to Pundit; Competition Pilot to World Champion, along with a growing number of power pilots, attracted by our three excellent runways. A highly qualified and hard working band of enthusiastic instructors give freely of time & expertise to uphold our record as a training club.
We are especially proud of our Junior Scheme, which offers regular flying at a fixed monthly fee for young people, and encourages their continued participation in the sport. 2019 saw one of our older juniors make the UK team for the world junior gliding championships in Hungry!

The office is staffed from 9am to 5pm Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
