A Roman Catholic Church built in 1902 in the Victorian Gothic style.
The church is a grade 2 Listed building with a highly decorated interior and a tower with internal staircase to an open top with parapets giving a 360 degree panoramic view of the town and the sea front.
Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour of the church using the church’s audio visual programme delivered on computer tablets the church will provide or the visitor’s own smartphone. The programme uses state of the art panoramic photography identifying some 20 points on which there is information and giving the viewer the option to pick and choose items of interest.
When the church is open, stewarded trips up the tower are usually available, subject of course to weather conditions.
There is no charge.
Open times will be usually 1pm to 4 pm but please check the website for dates.
