Description
Our museum is housed in the original buildings built by the Navy at the outbreak of war to house HMS Europa, the Central Depot of the Royal Naval Patrol Service. During the course of the war, 66,000 men served in the RNPS on 6,000 ships of which 14,500 men were killed and 600 ships lost. Of the men lost 2,835 were never recovered and named on our memorial in Belle Vue Park just above our museum. In or museum we have models, uniforms photographs and artifacts telling the story of the RNPS. We also act as a research facility for people requiring information on relatives and ships.
