Explore twenty acres of vineyard, bring your own picnic, taste award-winning wines and experience why English wines are getting so much praise. Shawsgate Vineyard is a family owned English Wine Estate located a mile from historic Framlingham with its magnificent castle.

The on-site shop stocks a wide range of wines from dry to medium-sweet White, Red, Rosé and Quality Sparkling Wines. Informative and fun. Vineyard tours and Experience Days are available May-August (see website/ webshop for details). Children’s play area.

The Vineyard Trail:
Visitors are welcome to do a ‘diy’ tour of the vineyard at their own leisure. There is no charge to do this and staff will provide you with an information sheet and vineyard map so you don’t get lost! Feel free to come at any time and watch the seasons change, a lovely walk any time of year. You may even catch sight of some of the wildlife and birds that also call Shawsgate home. Dogs are welcome on leads when accompanied by responsible owners.

Opening Times

Shop Opening Times:
Winter: October thru April – Friday and Saturday 11am to 4pm.
Summer: May thru September – Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
Please note the shop is always closed on Sundays.

Public Transport

Please note public transport does not pass the vineyard. Buses do go from Framlingham which is a good 1.5 mile walk. Taxi firms are available for our events, however these should be booked well in advance.
