St Margaret’s Church in Ormesby St Margaret near Great Yarmouth with its impressive south tower dating back to the 15th century, was restored and rebuilt in the late 1860’s. A truly magnificent church with beautiful stained glass windows.
One of the east windows depicting ‘The Ascension’ is a memorial to the Lacons, local brewing families, with their perched falcon emblem in the lower right hand corner. The Lacon’s mausoleum can be found outside in the church grounds.
