St Peter’s by the Waterfront is an Arts & Heritage Centre, in the historically important ancient mariners church of St Peter’s.
St Peter’s by the Waterfront opened as an Arts & Heritage Centre in 2008 and has grown to become a vibrant centre with a varied programme of music and theatre throughout the year.
As well as featuring acts from the across the country and further afield, St Peter’s is also home many local groups for rehearsals and meetings and open to the public to view the magnificent architecture and rich history of the church and the local area with permanent displays on show.
St Peter’s is also home to the Ipswich Charter Hangings, a set of 8 panels depicting the history of Ipswich from before the signing of the towns’ charter by King John in 1200 up to the 20th Century.

May to September: Tuesday – Thursday 10am to 4pm & Wednesday 12pm to 2pm.
October to April: Wednesday 12pm to 2pm.
