The Suffield Arms is an extraordinary 19th century Art pub, serving Mediterranean food and tapas.
The Suffield Arms was built in the 19th century by Lord Suffield, who lived at nearby Gunton Hall, a close friend of the Prince of Wales and a major investor in the original East Norfolk Railway which built the line from Norwich to Cromer.
The Art pub offers all the comforts of a North Norfolk pub, alongside a Mediterranean Tapas Restaurant, Saloon bar and a private collection of diverse mix of modern and traditional artworks.
Under the same management team and ownership of the Gunton Arms, The Suffield Arms is located directly opposite Gunton Train Station and is only a couple of miles away from The Gunton Arms and the neighbouring villages of Southrepps, Antingham and Thorpe Market.
As you enter the building you are greeted with a large and impressive bar area which is akin to a classic 19th century pub, with a roaring open fire and a large selection of local real ales. As you head further into the building you walk into a light and airy conservatory restaurant which overlooks a beautiful walled garden with lots of outside seating. The restaurant host’s many larger sharing tables along with a marble tapas bar which spans across the entire restaurant. Behind the tapas bar guests can look out to the open plan kitchen where chefs prepare Tapas dishes predominantly from Spain . Upstairs, there’s a sumptuous saloon bar dripping with luxurious deep hues of velvet and a roof terrace where you can enjoy seasonal and classic cocktails created by the Suffield Arm’s very own mixologists.
