Taverham Mill Fishery and Nature Reserve

With four lakes and situated by an old weir and mill pool on the River Wensum, Taverham is a haven for anglers, walkers and nature lovers.

An anglers’ paradise, in our lakes you can fish for carp, tench, roach, perch and pike as well as stock up on tackle at our on-site store.

Those on a family day out can take one of the trails and explore the abundance of wildlife that make Taverham Mill its home.

Whether you’re looking for an action-packed day on the water, a spot of fishing to escape the stresses and strains of everyday life, or simply want to enjoy a relaxing walk in beautiful surroundings, look no further than our fabulous water parks.

Taverham Mill is an affordable day out with adult entry just £3.50, children 5-18 £1.50 and under 5’s free.
Regular visitors may benefit from annual family membership which costs just £40 for a year’s entry. Parking is free of charge.

1st March – 31st October (the Visitor Centre is open daily): 9.30am – 5pm

1st November – 28th February: Wed: 12:00pm – 4pm

1st November – 28th February: Thu – Sun: 9.30am – 4pm

Open until 1pm on Christmas Eve. Visitor centre closed on Christmas Day (the site will be open). Visitor centre open 09.30 to 16:00 on 31 December and 1 January.
