The Duke’s Head is a public house & restaurant located in the pretty village of Somerleyton on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. Run by Tara Smyth & James Santillo since March 2018, The Duke’s focuses on good food & great hospitality alongside well-kept beers & a straightforward wine & spirits list. There is dog-friendly bar with a woodburner & board games, a separate restaurant with wrap-around windows & a large beer garden with views across the fields.
Part of the Somerleyton Estate and renowned for a flavoursome, fresh and seasonal menu, a visit to the Duke means all the warmth of a classic British pub combined with the delectable flavours of modern dining.
Our menu moves with the seasons, so you’ll find market-fresh fish, seasonal game and specially selected meat dishes on the menu. We source our ingredients locally where possible, either from the Estate’s own farms or other local farms across Norfolk and Suffolk.
