The Fleece Inn has been providing a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike since the 15th century. You can still find many of the original features of this charming old building; a warren of interconnecting spaces, warm, inviting nooks and crannies, exposed timbers and low ceilings, with beautiful leaded windows looking out over St Mary’s Church opposite.
Come and join us for a drink, a chat, or something good to eat. Speciality teas and coffees; a selection of delicious, well priced wines; and an exciting range of local ales can be enjoyed in the rear courtyard on sunny days or by the roaring fire in the bar when frost has nipped your toes. Day and night, all are welcome – workers and walkers, shoppers and talkers, friends, families and colleagues.
Drinker-friendly; guest beers are local and rotated regularly. Sun kissed courtyard to the rear of the pub (when the weather permits). A lovely place to work on your tan.
Child-friendly; a popular children’s’ menu, high chairs, colouring books, playing cards and dominoes.
Dog-friendly; well-behaved pooches are welcome in the bar and snug. They may even get a treat or two. Pooch Hooch and Puppy Prosecco available outside in the courtyard.
Free WiFi; Enjoy being connected? Internet is available in the pub.
