Description
Carlton Marshes lies at the southern tip of the Norfolk and Suffolk broads and comprises over 100 acres of grazing marshes, fens and peat pools. It is the Broads in miniature. This walk starts from the Suffolk Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre, heads across the marshes to the River Waveney and returns along the Angles Way long distance footpath.
Directions to start: Suffolk Wildlife Trust Carlton Marshes Visitor Centre.
Parking: Visitor centre car park.
Nearest train station: 0.5miles (Oulton Broad South Station).
Start Nat GR TM 512921.
Points of Interest: Oulton Broad, wildlife and bird watching.
There is a public footpath from the station to the visitor centre.
