Visit East of England is now offering accommodation providers, attractions, and venues a free ‘book now’ button on their free listing on the VEE website.
The ‘book now’ button will link directly to the preferred booking page of any business and will mean NO ADDITIONAL COMMISSION being taken on any booking.
VEE executive director Pete Waters said, ‘As the official regional tourism website it’s our aim to bring more value to visitor economy businesses. We already offer free listings on the East of England website, and now by offering a free ‘book now’ button it means customers can book directly with the local business rather than through an Online Travel Agent or another intermediary which would charge commission.’
He added, ‘Our experience of working with booking channels suggests that customers feel more confident booking directly and that will only mean more value being kept by local tourism businesses.’
