With gently rolling geography and spectacular coast and countryside that includes waterways, estuaries, forests and heaths, the East of England is perfect for walking and cycling all year round.

Across the region there are thousands of miles of long distance and circular trails, all well-maintained and way-marked. There are walks for enthusiasts and the more experienced.

The National Coast Path encompasses most of the East of England’s 500 miles of coast.

Whether you like to don lycra or just pedal gently for pleasure there are cycle routes to suit you in the East of England.

The Sustrans National Cycle Network of traffic-free and on-road routes cross the region. There are old railway paths to cycle, off-road forest tracks, country parks and Quiet Lanes.

Stop off in a characterful country pub, farm shop or tea room. Take a few days and book excellent accommodation.
