Take your printmaking skills to the next level in our advanced 2 day workshop linocut course
Tuesday 4th October 10am – 4pm
& Tuesday 11th October 10am – 3pm
In this two-day course, you’ll learn how to carve and print your own multiblock/jigsaw linocut print. There will be discussions and demonstrations in what jigsaw linocuts and multiblock linocuts are, colour theory, tool sharpening and the use of registration boards to create multi-coloured linocut prints.
Together we will discuss the aspects of making a multiblock linocut from start to finish and you will leave the second day of the workshop with a small edition of your A5 prints. This course if perfect for someone looking to gain a greater understanding of the processes involved in making a more complex linocut print.
Please note this advanced workshop requires some prior knowledge of linocut printmaking. It is essential that participants have either attended the beginner linocut workshop or have a good basic understanding of the linocut printmaking process. The minimum age for this workshop is 18 due to the use of sharp tools.
This course is taught by Haychley from Stellabox Designs. All tools and materials will be provided but you’re encouraged to bring an apron and a packed lunch/drinks as required. There will be a lunch break built into both days of this workshop. Participants are asked to think about possible linocut prints they can make at the workshop and are encouraged to bring A5 designs as inspiration.
This is a great course for anyone looking to take their linocut printing skills to the next level.
