This must-see free exhibition gives you an unrivalled insight in to the making of Ed Sheeran, intimately portraying his creative and musical journey whilst celebrating his strong connection to Suffolk and its people.

Brought up in a creative environment, Ed saw being creative as a natural part of everyday life, and as fun. There was lots of drawing, painting, singing and music-making in his early life and the exhibition showcases the impact this creativity has had on him, with various pieces of his own original artwork on display, including self-portraits and album covers.
In 2015, Ed welcomed the renowned Northern Irish painter Colin Davidson into his Suffolk home. Three superb drawings, five oil studies and two large portraits resulted. The National Portrait Gallery in London later acquired one of the large portraits, and the remaining nine pictures, never seen before, feature in this exhibition. These exclusive works of art give you a glimpse of the man behind the public figure, capturing the private, thoughtful and feeling Ed that the public never gets to see.
Since Ed’s career took off in 2011, he has been photographed by hundreds of photographers around the world; but there have only been a handful who have been there from the beginning. Mark Surridge is one of them. He has an instinct for the right moment and the right shot, whether before, during or after a performance. This exhibition includes a selection of Mark’s photographs that reveal what Ed, his team and his fans experience.
