Knitted Bible Display

St Mary’s at Old Newton is staging the Knitted Bible. This is an exquisite collection of knitted figures on loan from St Georges’s URC Church in Hartlepool. The figures depict many of the familiar stories from both the Old and New Testament. There are 36 scenes in all, including: Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, The Good Samaritan, The Nativity and the Last Supper. Each group of figures is accompanied with supporting scenery.

A perfect way to introduce children to stories from the Bible and a delight for adults too.

Free entry; however, donations to the church would most welcome.
