Building on our 10 year anniversary in 2018, our farmers market is back in 2019 and better than ever! Come along to the village hall on the 4th Sunday of every month and discover the joys of market shopping – we look forward to seeing you!
Lavenham Farmers Market
Our farmers’ market showcases over thirty of the region’s very best, small scale artisan producers, attracting hundreds of shoppers into the village.
Every item sold at the market is produced by the person selling and we work hard to ensure that nothing has travelled further than 30 miles to be at the market.
During the shooting season (Oct – Feb), local pheasant, partridge, rabbit, duck and grouse, all shot within ten miles of the market, are stacked beautifully in wicker baskets and sold by The Long Melford and Lavenham Game Company. Fresh cuts of venison, literally shot in fields surrounding the market, are the pride and joy of Lavenham Butchers. Award winning pies come courtesy of Truly Traceable; freshly baked cakes are provided by Lavenham business, Casey’s Cakes plus we have local honey, jams, wine, bottled beers, small batch gin and vodkas and a few of the finest local crafters displaying their wares.
This farmers’ market really is shopping local at its very best and it is no wonder that over the last ten years it has come back from the brink of closure to an award winning, monthly celebration of the very best food and drink in this region.
Lavenham Farmers’ Market is held on the fourth Sunday of every month in Lavenham village hall, CO10 9QT from 10am until 1.30pm.
