Woman of Substance Exhibiton

A joint exhibition celebrating women from Suffolk artists Michelle Watson and Anna Boon. Working in separate mediums both artists explore the figurative form with a fluidity that merges reality with abstraction.

In Michelle’s large oil paintings elements of classical figuration juxtapose contemporary painting methods. A certain beauty in the subtlety of paint strokes defines isolated female forms.

Whilst in Anna’s sculptures, made from recycled fabrics, she captures the ethereal beauty and movement of the figure.
