Travel to East Anglia by air

East Anglia has two international airports: London Stansted and Norwich. London Stansted, in north Essex, between Cambridge and London, is the third busiest airport in the UK. Conveniently located on the M11 motorway, it has excellent East Anglia road links.

Stansted is a base for a number of major European low-cost carriers, being the largest base for low-cost airline Ryanair with over 100 destinations served by the airline. Other carriers include AirBerlin and Flybe. The Stansted Express is a direct train service to London Liverpool Street, and the rail network from here takes in all of East Anglia, including Cambridge, Norwich and Ipswich. Norwich International Airport is located a few miles to the north of the city and is linked by public transport. There are four daily flights by KLM from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, a major international hub airport, with extensive worldwide connectivity. Other carriers include FlyBe, BMI Regional and Eastern Airways.
