Visit a Historical Gem

At Oxburgh Hall it's muddy boots month. Bring your wellies and explore the beautiful Estate at Oxburgh. Events taking place this half-term, include nest box building and the chance to go wild in the woods where rangers will be passing on their forestry skills.

Check out the events taking place at Sheringham Park including a Tracker Trail and Wild Animal Tracking. There is plenty of February fun scheduled at Blickling with a wellie walk and parkland trail or take the opportunity to while you are there to go on a bug hunt!

Get Back to Nature

High Lodge

'Home Tweet Home' is taking place at Pensthorpe to celebrate National Nest Box Week (14th-21st February). Visitors can explore the nest box trail that will challenge your knowledge of the native wildlife; and discover how you can encourage birds to nest in your garden. Children can build their own nest to take home. Nest Box Building will also be taking place at Lackford Lakes, there will also be a bird trail around the reserve and the option to build their own bird feeder!

For a relaxed day out soak up the magic of the Broads on a boat with Broad Tours where Kids go free between the 11th-18th February or head down to Thetford Forest and let the kids run off some steam at High Lodge or enjoy one of the walking routes. Have a Day at the Coast

Enjoy a day at the beach this half term! From the quaint under the pier show at Southwold to the remote miles of sand at Holkham, with miles of coast you will find a beach for everyone in East Anglia. check out our Top 10 Beaches to discover yours. If a trip to the coast sounds cold perhaps a coastal town will be more up your street. A potter around the shops is a great way to keep out of the cold whilst enjoying the coastal view and perhaps some warming fish and chips. Animal Magic

Banham Zoo
Children will enjoy getting up close to farm animals at Baylham House Farm where there will be Lamb Cuddling and taking part in the half term fun at Easton Farm Park.

Head down to Africa Alive for 'Bird Brains!', a week of feathered fun this half term. Over at Banham Zoo 'The Asian Adventure' is a week celebrating some of the most endangered animals in the zoo! Visit one of Norfolk's Museums

Gressenhall Museum
At Norwich Castle it's Kings, Queens & Dirty Rascals week, with crafty activities include making a Kings and Queens of England timeline, building a castle hat and crowning themselves King or Queen. Also taking place at Norwich Castle is the new Square Box on the Hill exhibition.

At the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell, follow the cocoa bean trail around the museum on Valentine's eve and make a chocolate box or Valentine's card for your loved one. Then in the evening enjoy a bit of chocolate history and chocolate tasting, from 6 to 8pm.

Valentine’s Day sees Strangers' Hall re-open after its annual deep clean and visitors can celebrate the Feast of St Valentine by joining the household as they prepare for a sumptuous meal, with demonstrations, object handling and craft activities.

At Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse a big Spring Clean will take place during half-term week Monday to Friday. Lend a hand to help rejuvenate the museum ready for the 2018 season and get a chance to see history up close.

Over in Great Yarmouth, the Time and Tide Museum on Valentine’s day, the venue hosts a children’s workshop about the elusive Norfolk legend Jack Valentine where youngsters can make their crushes a card to celebrate as well as enjoy a treat along the way. On Friday the museum will also host a taste of seaside summer family fun with their Sunshine in Winter day. Enjoy the fun of the seaside with the warmth of indoors!
