North Norfolk food festival

On the 2nd and 3rd September 2017 the North Norfolk food and drink festival will take place in the spectacular setting of the Walled Garden at Holkham Hall. Now in its eighth year, the festival has grown into a highly successful event with visitors from across the county and beyond. Featuring an ever-growing team of local food and drink producers who grow, rear, produce, supply and sell food in North Norfolk. Products for sale will include fresh meat and game, vegetables, cakes, artisan beer, bread, tarts, juices, cakes and bakes, chocolates and much more. There will also be delicious food for eating on site and entertainment including cookery theatre, children’s activities and face painting.

Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival

Maritime Festival

Head down to Great Yarmouth's historic South Quay on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2017 and celebrate the town's maritime past, present and future. 
Ships and boats will be flying colourful bunting from their masts. Watch this space to find out which vessels will be visiting the festival this year. Three stages will host a huge variety of live folk music and sea shanty songs performed live by bands from all over the UK and Europe. Maritime related craft and charity stalls will be offering all sorts of things to buy. Visitors can also try their hand at some traditional maritime skills on the demonstration stands. Festival-goers also enjoy street entertainment, face-painting and fun children's activities.

Art on the Prom

Art on the prom

Art on the Prom will take place on Felixstowe's sea front on Sunday 3rd September 2017 with a programme of events and performers to keep the whole family entertained. This year over 100 artists are participating with paintings, drawings, ceramics, prints and textiles all being displayed in the stalls. There will also be a variety of bands and entertainers taking part on the day.  On offer are several have-a-go workshops where you can try your hand at art projects including making Corn Dollies with traditional straw weaving and  making Jitterbug Tiles using clay, mini-beast casts and metallic paints.  All materials will be provided for free.

Autumn Plant Fair at Helmingham Hall Gardens

Autumn Art Fair

This year’s Autumn Plant Fair at Helmingham Gardens is back and even bigger. Visitors can enjoy Helmingham’s Grade 1 listed gardens including the dramatic borders, knot and herb garden, nineteenth century parterre, ancient deer park and Victorian kitchen garden. Plant nurseries from near and far will be featured in the Garden Zone, with lots of unusual and popular plants for sale. Pop over to the Artisan Zone to visit a wide range of exhibitors offering everything from artisan foods and handmade soaps, to vintage French collectables and pottery. There will also be a wide range of workshops on offer, including those led by leading garden designer Lady Tollemache. You'll want to arrive early as there a 800 free bulbs of Muscari latifolium, the ‘Oxford and Cambridge Grape Hyacinth’ to the first 800 visitors to claim them!

Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival

Aldeburgh Food Festival

The Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival will take place at Snape Maltings on the 23rd and 24th September. With plenty of tasty treats on offer, interactive fun and games at Hillfarm Family Meadow and under 15's attending free its perfect for all the family!  The Festival will feature over 90 food and drink producers from Suffolk, selling a huge variety of locally produced fayre. There are also 2 cookery demonstration stages hosting visiting and local chefs. It's sure to be a true celebration of Suffolk's thriving food & drink scene.
