This years Christmas Fayre is on! Across various locations within the town centre the Town Mayor, Keith Scarff, will be opening the event and announcing the start of the festive period by lighting up the town centre to kickstart the festivities and bring that seasonal sparkle across the town. There will be an array of incredible market stalls from local and regional traders as well as an ice rink and merry go round!

Traditional, festive, and fun! A fantastic family day out and a visit to Father Christmas at Kentwell Hall will make this years festive period the best yet! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Friday 26th November is the official Sudbury Christmas light switching on event. Join us at Duck-in-Boots from 4pm where we shall have a mini Christmas market, meet Scrooge and the Grinch, plus lots of incredible artisan Christmas gifts, as well as our Santa’s Grotto with the big man himself!

Festive Luxury Wreath Making Workshop

Christmas wreath making - Museum of East Anglian Life

Feeling the creative festive spirit? Head over to the Museum of East Anglian like for a Festive wreath making session. Delivered by Romeo and Succulent you will create your own luxury Christmas wreath using natural items such as real pine cones, moss, dried oranges, cinnamon sticks, fresh foliage, cotton ribbons and more.

The workshop will include all materials required and use of equipment. Remember to dress for warmth as this session will be in one of the museum’s barns.

Saturday 11th December – please arrive 9.45 for a 10am start.

Long Melford Christmas Fair

Returning to Long Melford for a 10th year, this fair will be taking place over four rooms in The Old School, and offer shoppers a wonderful choice of beautifully designed and handcrafted gifts for Christmas.

Makers will be showcasing the latest in contemporary and vintage inspired handmade items. Stallholders include Woodturner Glyn Hall; Peter Clayton Wildlife Photographer; glass by the Little Lime Design Company; sculptures by The Happy Hare Co and Nanak Jewellery.

We are also delighted to have Suffolk novelist, Simon Edge, joining us at the event. Simon’s novels include The Hopkins Conundrum, The Hurtle of Hell & Anyone for Edmund?
