East Anglia has plenty to satisfy the discerning golfer – visit one of our picturesque golf courses
Golfing in the East of England provides the perfect opportunity to escape into the fresh air and spend time with friends in spectacular surroundings.
In Norfolk Royal Cromer has a beautiful setting over the town and pier, Hunstanton and Royal West Norfolk at Brancaster are by the beach.
But it’s Sheringham that has to be the most picturesque in the region – not only does it sit atop undulating cliffs with stunning coastal views, but it has a steam railway running through it – the North Norfolk Railway, known as ‘The Poppy Line’.
In Suffolk these include Thorpeness, where you can ponder ‘The House in the Clouds’, Felixstowe Ferry, the fifth oldest in England, and Southwold, which has lovely views along the coast.
Why not stay in one of the many hotels that boast their own course.
And, don’t forget, the East of England boasts the sunniest driest/weather in the UK.
Golf and good weather – what could be better for a perfect holiday or short break?
