More Details
The coast is always a pull, whether you’re a birdwatcher, keen walker, kitesurfer or if you’re just interested in making sandcastles, dune diving or dipping in the briny.
As well as superb sandy beaches, the coast has a variety of landscapes from soaring cliffs to tidal estuaries and creeks.
In Essex take your pick from beaches including Southend-on-Sea, Clacton-on-Sea and Frinton-on-Sea and in Suffolk there are fine sand beaches at Southwold, Walberswick, Lowestoft and Felixstowe.
Much of Norfolk’s 90 mile coastline is pristine, unspoilt sand – try Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, Winterton-on-Sea and Mundesley on the east coast of the county and Cromer, Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham, Brancaster and Hunstanton on the north coast.
