The East of England has spawned a myriad of theatrical types. Academy Award winners Sir John Mills and Olivia Colman grew up in Great Yarmouth and Norwich respectively, two-times Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes was born in Ipswich, while Hollywood A-lister Hugh Jackman regularly returns to Norwich to visit his mother and watch his beloved Norwich City FC.

The region also enjoys more than its share of theatrical offerings. The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich is internationally known for staging daring new works while the Theatre Royals of Norwich and Bury St Edmunds consistently stage productions fresh from London’s West End.
