We’re now inviting applications to join the round 2 (site visits) judging panel for the Suffolk & Norfolk Tourism Awards 2026.
If you have professional experience in the visitor economy and a commitment to fairness, quality, and attention to detail, we’d love to hear from you. Our judges are at the heart of the awards process — helping to identify and champion the very best of Norfolk and Suffolk’s tourism and hospitality businesses.
What’s Involved
Judges will be expected to:
-
Conduct site visits for shortlisted applicants (Round Two), which may be unannounced or booked depending on category
-
Complete a full judging report through the awards platform, including:
-
Section-by-section scoring and comments
-
Detailed commentary on strengths and areas for improvement
-
Constructive, personalised feedback for the business
-
A testimonial paragraph to support potential PR
-
Judging visits may be day visits or overnight stays depending on the category. Travel expenses, ticket/experience costs will be reimbursed, and overnight costs are covered where relevant. All judges will receive a clear judging brief, full training and a ticket to the awards night in March 2026.
Who Should Apply
We’re looking for individuals who:
-
Have relevant experience in tourism, hospitality, customer service, accessibility, sustainability, or related areas
-
Can commit time between late July and December 2025 to undertake site visits
-
Can provide thorough, balanced and constructive written feedback
-
Are confident working independently and professionally
Please note: judges are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and will be asked to sign a contract upon appointment.

We aim to confirm successful applicants by Wednesday 24 July, with contracts and briefing materials sent shortly afterwards.
